My love of photography grew out of a love of travel. Leaving home, and the familiarity and routine that comes with it, enabled me to see the world anew, to grow my curiosity in people and to appreciate the everyday details that make life so rich. Through this new set of open eyes, I began to capture what I saw and with everyday practice, my love and understanding of making photographs grew.
This portfolio is the kind of work I return to when fear of failure, routine and the commercialisation of my craft start to feel suffocating. I'll keep chasing new faces, new streets, new landscapes because like any itchy bite, once scratched, you have to keeping scratching.
