I love going through the box of old family photos my mom keeps – cracked, faded, worn by the many fingers that have run over each image, retracing the memory or person or place it captures. This box, older than me, is one of my greatest sources of comfort. The unfortunate side of digitisation is the tendency to keep everything on our screens. Our computers are the new photo boxes, but it doesn’t have to be that way. Deciding to capture your family in a series off intimate moments and portraits to be printed is – I believe – one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself, your family and future memory seekers.
To capture the heart of your family’s story, we’ll spend a few hours together, in a space where you feel comfy – your home, your favourite park or beach, maybe granny’s kitchen. No backdrops, makeup or studio lights, just an honest and creative telling of your family’s everyday life, shot in a candid style with a dash of classic portraiture.
