Hard to imagine a more beautiful way to get married than surrounded by the quintessential scenery of your home. Suikerbossie is a Cape Town institution, with sweeping views over Hout Bay Valley, Llundudno to the west and Table Mountain in the distance. Its here that Monique and Matt said their I-dos, perched on a hill that overlooked it all. When I entered the women’s quarters, one of the first things I noticed was mum’s beautiful collection of old photos, telling the love stories of previous generations, a series of memories that I felt lucky to continue capturing. With her fairytale gown and flowing veil, Monique was the epitome of bridal elegance, poised and smiling as she floated down the isle. The ceremony unfolded with a distinct lightness of spirit, an effortless joy that permeated the entire day. Monique and Matt, your chemistry and comfort with each other are a pleasure to be around.
