Kezi & Devin, Nidderdale Farm

What a momentous way to bring in the new year! Devin and Kezi said their I-dos on 31 December 2016, surrounded by the soft blues and greens of the Hemel en Aarde Valley, close friends and family, lucky beens and golden pineapples. With Devin’s passion for creating beautiful spaces, and Kezi’s keen eye for detail, they made the picturesque Nidderdale Farm into a celebratory wonderland, complete with a Turkish-inspired souk, soft draping fabrics, scattered lanterns and fairy lights, and the pastel tones of fynbos. The ceremony unfolded under a big oak tree that dappled the afternoon light, with the bride’s big brother acting as officiate and close friends and family lending their love and voice to the proceedings. After a shower of rose petals, we headed out for their couple shoot, which was nothing short of a visual treat! Between Kezi’s spectacular dress, Dev’s dapper 1920’s inspired suit and horses grazing happily in the background, there was no shortage of beauty, a fitting ode to the final sunset of 2016. The evening played out with equal majesty, dinner, speeches and dancing, with a midnight surge of hugs and kisses. All in, this was one of my greatest new year’s celebrations, a festival of love and a new a beginning.
