Ingrid & Tudor, South Hill

Ordinarily I experience a little creative angst before my first wedding of the new season but Ingrid and Tudor are so comfortable with each other and those around them, that I had no reason to be nervous. This is a couple with no aires or graces, a couple for whom the spirit of the day meant much more than a perfect itinerary or perfectly placed name tags, a couple who you can’t help but believe in. As if to say “I approve!”, the weather Gods shone on their late winter wedding at South Hill in Elgin, blessing us with beautiful soft light, a baby blue sky, no wind and a breathtaking sunset. The ceremony took place outside, under a statuesque, leafless tree, and from the moment Ingrid walked elegantly down the isle, things flowed effortlessly from one moment to the next, a reflection of their sincerity, honest love and down to earth goodness.

Shout out to Sandy King of South Hill for making everyone feel so at home, Molteno Creations for constructing the Ingrid-perfect gown, and Joeke Bonthuys MUA for your delicate touch.
